Privacy notice
This notice explains the personal data processed when you use Lorebase.
Controller
The controller is the person named in the imprint. You can reach them using the contact details shown there.
Account and wiki data
When you create an account, we process the username, email address, password hash, and account-related session data needed to provide the service. We also store the wikis, pages, edit history, sources, and access-token digests that you create or provide. Public wikis can be read by anyone; do not put personal or confidential information in a public wiki.
This processing is necessary to provide the service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and to keep it secure and reliable (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Technical data and cookies
The service uses necessary session and security cookies so that sign-in and language selection work. The server may process technical request data, such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, and time of access, to operate and secure the service. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Optional AI providers
Premium users may voluntarily submit a request to OpenAI or Anthropic through Lorebase. The selected provider receives the request content and the provider key for that request. Provider keys are not stored by Lorebase. Do not use this optional feature for data you are not permitted to share with that provider.
Your rights
Subject to the legal requirements, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, or object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority.
Retention and changes
We retain account and wiki data while your account and the relevant content remain active, unless a longer retention period is legally required. This notice will be updated when the service or its processing changes materially.
